Psychological Assessments
Assessments are completed by two of our registered psychologists, Dr. Kevin Lutz and Dr. Matthew McDaniel.
Types of assessment
Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) assessments
Diagnostic assessments for PTSD and other mental health conditions
Occupational assessments
Police selection assessments
Referrals
Assessments can be requested by insurers and other third-party payers, by employers, or by individuals directly.
Assessment and treatment
Assessment and treatment are typically kept separate: the psychologist who completes your assessment is generally not your treating clinician. When an assessment is requested by a third party, we confirm with you before the assessment begins who will receive the report.

If you are a veteran, RCMP member, or eligible family member, Veterans Affairs Canada may cover the cost of your assessment.
1. Confirm your eligibility. Call VAC at 1-866-522-2122 or check through My VAC Account.
2. Request authorization from VAC by phone, at a local VAC office, or through My VAC Account. Have your service number, date of birth, and any referral letters ready.
3. Send us your authorization once VAC approves it.
4. Book your assessment. We'll schedule once we have your authorization.
